My husband and I both recommend Martha for your massage needs. I had back spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis in 1987 and had 21 good years with very few problems. However,in December 2008 I woke up to severe back pain that made it almost impossible to move. Over a period of several months I went to a neurologist, neurosurgeon, and scoliosis orthopedic surgeon. I had cortisone injections at a pain specialist and went to physical therapy for 3 months. Still I had chronic pain. I learned the meaning of chronic. Basically you can never stop thinking about it because it is always there. I have never taken pain medication but at that point I had to take a pill to get through the night. I met Martha previously and had a few massages just because it felt so good. She suggested I start regular massages to help with the muscles. She had confidence she could help me feel better. Today I feel great. It took a while and I continued massages every 2 weeks to maintain. To me it is a necessity. Martha knows the body and how it works. I started going to Martha for the Thai massage. I had been suffering terribly with what was diagnosed as arthritis in my hip. I was taking 800 mg. of ibuprofen 2-3 times a day just to deal with the pain. After a few sessions, my pain was totally gone. I have been a regular client for over three years.
