About Martha Reamy
Martha graduated from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona. Her goal is to promote better health, relaxation and a higher quality of life for her clients through the practice of therapeutic massage techniques and protocols.
Her clients have experienced relief from conditions such as chronic joint and muscle pain, fatigue, sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome to name just a few. Therapeutic massage helps the body attain a place of restoration so healing can begin.
Therapeutic touch is not only on the cutting edge of holistic health care, more than a hundred different types of massage and bodywork (hands on touch) are sky rocketing in popularity. Massage is now being taught at major universities such as Harvard, Duke, and the University of Miami, and some health maintenance organizations and insurance companies are recognizing massage therapy as a legitimate health practice.
It’s becoming more and more apparent to even the most skeptical scientist that touch does have an effect on the parasympathetic nervous system, the calming system that conserves the body’s energy, and that also induces the production of endorphins, the body’s natural pain-killing hormones that help to keep the adrenal glands from being overly stressed.
